1. What is Voxact?
Voxact is owned by Isonin Co., Ltd. and provides an online search for new and experienced voice actors and actresses who confidently speak one or more foreign languages. So that we can ensure the availability of our voice actors and actresses we also require that you currently reside in Japan.

2. Do I need prior experience and/or a good voice before registering with Voxact?
Some of our voice actors and actresses start voice acting with Voxact without prior experience. In this way Voxact can help discover and promote new voice talent. The reason this is possible is that what is considered to be a good voice is somewhat subjective according to the needs of producers. They may be looking for a certain tone, rhythm, accent or mood expressed within your voice. In addition to this, the ability to act using your voice can be as important as your voice quality. This means that submitting your voice recording for assessment is the only way you can be sure of whether your voice talent is what the producers are currently looking for. If you would like to begin or add to your voice acting experience we recommend that you contact us.

3. Can you tell me if I have voice acting talent?
Our philosophy is to help you succeed. If you have the desire and committment to voice-act in Japan, why not give it a try. You may discover your talents and develop your skills and in the process gain valuable experience.

4. Do I need to have a working visa in Japan?
Yes, you will need a valid working visa to work as a voice actor or actress in Japan and to register with us.

5. How much money can I expect to earn as a voice actor or voice actress?
Voice actors/actresses are paid on an hourly basis in most cases. The rate of pay typically ranges from 10,000- 40,000 yen per hour for short sessions. For long sessions, the rate is normally lower. Rates also vary depending on the length/duration and the complexity of a particular project. Voxact mediates the cost between producers and voice actors and/or voice actresses.
